The game goes with a fully or partially closed cards. The winner is the one whose combination would be better, or someone who can push out other players making bets or bluff-bets and will remain alone until the showdown. Poker Rules may vary depending on the variety of poker. General elements of all varieties of poker are the combination and the presence of betting in the game.

Compliance with the following rules is mandatory for all players in Pari-Match Poker.

Pari-Match Poker - organizer of poker games (game room), where participants play poker against each other through the Internet.

Ante - a small forced bet before the start of a hand in some poker games.

Betting order - Betting proceeds in a clockwise direction, starting with the player to the left of the dealer button.

Rake - The money removed from each pot by the poker room is known as the “rake”.  The rake is used to pay the poker room, since the winnings go to individual players.

Sit Out Feature - When seated at a table a player has the option to "Sit Out".  To do this simply check the "Sit Out" box. Once selected you will continue sitting at the table but will not be dealt in. You will remain sitting out until you un-check the "Sit Out" box. Once un-checked you will be dealt back in. If you remain in Sit Out mode for longer than 15 minutes you will be removed from the table and returned to the lobby.

Table stakes only - You can only wager chips you have on the table at the beginning of a hand. You can only transfer additional money from your player's account between hands. If you run out of chips during a hand, you are considered 'all-in'.

Blind - Each player is required to post the small blind and the big blind once per round. If a player misses posting a blind, he/she is required to post its equivalent upon re-entry to the game. Players who attempt to avoid posting their blinds by jumping in and out of a game may lose their playing privileges.

Buying chips - A facility to purchase chips will be offered automatically when a seat is selected at any table. The minimum or maximum buy in for any ring game will be shown when purchasing your chips. Buy-in amounts are based on the size of the game or the blinds for that table.Chips purchased, while seated at a table, will be subject to any limits for the table, and any top ups will have to bring your balance up to at least the minimum amount, but will not be allowed to take your balance over the maximum should there be one. At the completion of any hand if your table balance is less than the big blind you will need to purchase more chips to continue playing.

Playing Multiple Tables - Players may play more than one table at once. Any combination of ring games and tournaments may be used.

Texas Hold’em

How to Play
In Hold'em each player is dealt two pocket cards face down with five community cards dealt face up. Your strategy is to obtain the best hand using any five of the seven dealt cards, whether the combination is your two pocket cards and three community cards, one pocket card and four table cards, or all five table cards. Any five-card combination of the seven cards makes a hand.

Order of Play

  • The dealer gives each player two cards face down.
  • The first betting round takes place.
  • Three community cards (the Flop) are dealt face-up to the center of the table.

  • The third betting round takes place.
  • A fifth card (the River) is dealt to the community cards.
  • The last betting round takes place.
  • Showdown.

Omaha

How to Play

The action in Omaha plays out very much like Texas Hold'em. Four cards are dealt face down to each player. Then five community cards are dealt to the table. The game proceeds identically to Texas Hold'em. The final hands must include exactly two of the player's four cards and exactly three of the table's five cards. The cards speak for themselves. High hand takes the pot.

There are a total of four betting rounds in Omaha. The first and second rounds are set at the low limit of the tables' stakes structure and the final two rounds are set at the high limit of the structure.

A maximum of four bets is permitted per player. Betting rounds consist of a bet and three raises. The final raise is capped and a player has only the option to call or fold once capped.

Omaha Hi/Low

How to Play

Like Omaha High, you receive 4 cards face down. You use these cards in combination with the 5 table cards. At showdown, you must use exactly two of your down cards and three table cards to make up a high hand and a low hand. It's possible for you to win both the high and the low pot with two different pocket cards. Of the five cards used in a low hand, an 8 is the highest-ranking card you can use. The lowest high card determines the best low hand. If two or more players have the same high card, then the next lowest high card is used.

A Straight or a Flush is not considered a low hand even if it contains all cards with an individual rank of 8 or lower. The one exception to this is considered the best low hand - Ace, 2, 3, 4, 5. This is also considered as a straight for high, and both pots may be won with this hand. The action for Omaha Hi-Lo is very much like Hold'em and Omaha High.

This occurs commonly in online tournaments and is due to technical software reasons. This may happen to any player during the course of a tournament, and therefore creates no long term advantage.

Players that are unable to reconnect during the allotted time will have their hands automatically folded.
  9. As players are eliminated over the course of the tournament, tables will be consolidated to keep a full complement of players. Players may be forced to post the blinds when arriving at a new table.
  10. Players and observers are asked to use the chat function in a friendly and considerate way. At no time are players and observers allowed to discuss or comment on live hands.  In the case of breaking rules of conduct in a chat an organizer abandons after itself a right to deprive the player of possibility of the use of chat in the future.
